Marathon Consultancy is headed by Graeme Hilditch DIP. FTST (IIST, IHBC) a highly experienced Personal Trainer and Sports Therapist.
With over 10 years experience in Personal Training, Graeme has prepared hundreds of runners with varied ability for Half and Full Marathons all over the world.
After moving to Australia for 18 months in 1995, Graeme gained valuable experience in endurance training, injury rehabilitation and nutrition after working along side numerous top coaches.
Whilst staying in Brisbane he was offered a job to help train and rehabilitate players of leading rugby team the Brisbane Broncos.
Now back in the UK, Graeme has established a successful Personal Training business, focusing on helping people train for long distance running events and is often asked by the BBC for his professional opinion on running issues.
A regular contributor to “Fitpro” magazine and New York based “Shattered” magazine, Graeme’s columns are read by over 200,000 people every month, providing extensive advice on all aspects of health, fitness and nutrition.
Graeme is also author of a range of comprehensive training guides produced for a number of Charities including Spinal Research, Multiple Sclerosis Society, The British Red Cross, Traidcraft, The National Autistic Society and Centrepoint.
Due to their popularity, Graeme was approached to extend the training guides into a comprehensive book about endurance running. Covering all aspects of how to prepare for long distance runs, the book is tipped to become the "Half & Full Marathon runners Bible."
The book is due to be published and distributed nationally and internationally in the summer of 2007.
